ABOUT IQAC

As per UGC(University Grants Commission) guidelines and requirement of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC),every institution should have an Internal Quality Assurance Cell(IQAC) for performance evaluation, assessment, accreditation & quality improvement. An Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was established in 2006 in Dayanand Girls’P.G.College, Kanpur. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC of our college has become an integral part and is striving towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for promoting holistic academic performance and consistent improvement in the overall performance of the college. IQAC is a statutory, facilitative and participative unit of the institution and is acting as a vehicle for promoting new strategies to remove deficiencies and enhance quality.

OBJECTIVES

The IQAC of the College is constituted to achieve the following objectives

  • Ensuring timely, effective, efficient and progressive academic, administrative and financial performance.
  • Organizing relevant and quality academic/research programmes to enhance quality education and skills.
  • To facilitate access and affordability of academic programmes for various sections of society.
  • Promoting credibility, validity and reliability of assessment and evaluation process
  • Ensuring the adequacy, accuracy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and services.
  • Sharing of research findings and networking with other institutions.

FUNCTIONS

  • To develop and implement quality benchmarks for the administrative and academic activities of the college.
  • To promote learner-centric environment by integration of technology and promoting the use of ICT tools for participatory teaching and learning among students and faculty
  • To develop and execute a transparent and action-oriented feedback mechanism from all the stakeholders
  • To organise institutional training programs, workshops, seminars, and expert lectures to cultivate quality consciousness among stakeholders
  • Proper documentation of the various programmes/activities of the college.
  • Periodical conduct of Academic and Administrative Audit and its follow up
  • Proper implementation of academic calendar schedules
