Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has become a basis of modern education. It is transforming the ways in which students learn. In the same context the ICT lab at Dayanand Girls P.G. College was established in 2018 . This lab is designed to provide hands-on experience and create an environment which is conducive to learning and innovation.
The foremost purpose of our ICT lab is to integrate technology and educational processes. The ICT lab is a primary source for enhancing Digital Literacy among our students, where students can improve their skills in using computers . This lab plays a major role in facilitating access to information and educational resources online. Students can access e-books, academic journals, educational videos, and other digital content, which helps them various subjects.The traditional teaching methods often involve passive learning whereas this Lab encourages interactive learning. This makes learning more engaging and effective. Another major feature of this lab is to support Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education. Although we do not provide technical education but other three components are fully covered. It is crucial to understand intricate concepts through practical application.
The core of any ICT lab is its computers and digital devices. We also have an internet connection with Fiber Broadband provided by EXCITEL. The integration of ICT lab in our educational institution advances improved learning outcomes. Interactive and multimedia content can help students understand and retain information better than traditional methods. Learning becomes more engaging and enjoyable. ICT lab helps to bridge the digital divide by providing access to technology for all students, regardless of their socio-economic background. This ensures that every student has the opportunity to develop digital skills and access educational resources, promoting equality in education.

Regular maintenance and updates are necessary to keep the lab running smoothly. Cybersecurity has become a major concern. We need secure networks and online safety from falling a victim to cybercrime.
